SHEM PARUTTI COTTON
A commercial variety of cotton, grown in India, derived from Bourbon seed, introduced in the early 19th century. The fibre is used chiefly by the Brahmins for sacrificial thread. Grown mostly in Erode, Taluk, Bombay Presidency.
